Office of Institutional Research

 

The office of institutional research office (hereinafter referred to as IR office) is the central source for information about Nan-Kai University of Technology. We serve the University's mission, values, and goals by analyzing and reporting institutional data to inform university and issue-driven planning and development.


At the behest of the university administrators, faculty and staff, as well as other institutional stakeholders (for example, Ministry of Education), IR conducts research on critical issues related to higher education or to the mission of the university. Internally, IR conducts numerous analyses of university data, including researching student retention, student dropout, student learning outcomes, planning and modeling future enrollment, and longitudinal studies on the key performance indicators of university development.


On the whole, our tasks are to advance equity, and success in higher education by working with university leadership to ensure an institutional culture of assessment and data-informed decision making can be used to improve the performance of university affairs management.


The detail tasks of the office are as follows:

1. Define, measure, integrate and analyze university affairs data of various administration or academic departments, and plan the University affairs database.
2. Provide information needed for university development and related research topics.
3. Conduct relevant strategic research analysis for the university development plan.
4. Other important research issues on University development.
